Blog 1 - Class Presentations Reflection

Reflection of Presentations  By: Maria Carla Peguero Rivas When I first started this class I wasn't sure what to expect. I was honestly nervous about presenting in front of everyone and my position as class leader. When I heard from the professor that the class leaders had to do the introduction and conclusion for all 3 presentations, my first thought was "OMG what did I just get myself into!?"                            via GIPHY B ut after having to present on multiple occasions; I am so glad that I had to. Having presented multiple times so early into the class was the best thing that could have happened to me. I felt myself getting less and less nervous with each presentation. After all of them, I realized that everyone in that class is having the same thoughts and feelings as me about public speaking. We are all just as nervous and scared about speaking in front of a classroom so why judge or criticize ...

 Reflection - Presentations Ever since the beginning of this semester I wasn’t sure how this class was going to go since I do find it hard to make speeches and presentations. However, after these past presentations that we have made I learned several tips to improve and how to get over that fear of presenting.   For starters, being one of the class leaders requires me to talk to others, especially if they have any questions since they would sometimes come to Maria and me for some clarification and guidance. This has significantly helped me, even before making the presentations, I started feeling more confident with the idea of presenting in front of others and how everyone was going to struggle, just like me, throughout the process. Many times, I had to remind myself that everyone goes through the same types of feelings when preparing for a presentation and while giving one.   I was able to see everyone organizing for the presentation and how nervous they were to give it ...
